On 15th April, in very heavy rain, members of the parish council and the team from BAM Nuttall Ltd. attended the inauguration of a new community bench, which has generously been donated to the village by BAM Nuttall Ltd., who are currently carrying out extensive work at Norton Mill to improve drainage on the marsh.

BAM Nuttall Ltd. agent Chris Verghese cut the ribbon to officially hand over the bench to the parish council.

Following consultation with parishioners, the chosen site for the bench is on the corner of Loddon Road and New Road, adjacent to the village sign.  The position of the bench allows people using it the opportunity to take in the view of the parish church.
