• Cllr Garry Holmes

    Garry has lived on Low Road since 2012 and is involved in his family’s building business in Great Yarmouth.  He is a sponsor and committee member at Norton Athletic Football Club and supports the team at matches when he can.

    When not working, Garry is interested in restoring classic cars and enjoys motorcycle touring – he admits to being a total petrol head!  He also enjoys socialising with family and friends.

  • Cllr Rob Smith

    Rob has lived in Norton Subcourse since 2015 and worked in the area for over 30 years.  He owns a company in St. Olaves which restores and maintains wooden boats.

    Rob’s hobbies include cycling, walking and gardening.  He has an interest in all local issues associated with the countryside and environment.

  • Cllr Damian Hagarty

    Damian is originally from Thetford, but moved to Norton Subcourse in 2014.  Since then, he has been running his own business as a DJ and entertainer.

    He and his partner have a young son who attends school in Thurlton.

    In his spare time, Damian is very involved in the local community and amateur dramatics.

  • Cllr Victoria (Vic) Jenkins

    Vic grew up in Belton near Gt. Yarmouth and studied in Gorleston before achieving an Honours Degree in Mathematics at the U.E.A.  She has worked for Aviva and also in the City of London.

    Vic and her husband moved to Norton Subcourse in 2011 and have since renovated their farmhouse and started a smallholding on their land.  In her spare time Vic enjoys gardening.

  • Cllr Mike Hedley

    Mike has lived in Norton Subcourse since 1996 having moved from Beccles. A Geordie by birth, he has worked in the civil engineering industry in East Anglia for over 25 years.

    Both of Mike’s children attended Thurlton Primary School during which time he did a stint as Chairman of the Parents & Friends Association.

    Mike has particular interest in the environmental issues that have an impact on the Parish.

  • Cllr Andrew Wright

    Andrew Wright has been a parish councillor since 1982 and is currently chairman.  His family has lived and farmed in Norton and Thurlton for at least six generations and the family farm currently produces corn, sugar beet, asparagus and has a beef suckler herd.

    In addition to farming, Andrew works for the local Internal Drainage Board and takes a keen interest in the marshes and drainage system

    When he’s not working, Andrew enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.
